1. INTRODUCTION
At JCC Payment Systems Ltd (“JCC”), we strive to ensure equal access to our services for all individuals in accordance with the provisions of the Accessibility of Products and Services Law of 2024 (Ν. 57(I)/2024) (the “Law”).

For JCC, accessibility means that our services and products should be usable by people regardless of their abilities, including by people with disabilities related to vision, hearing, mobility, or other.

The accessibility requirements apply only to consumers, i.e. customers who use services and products for personal use, not for trade, business, or profession.

This Declaration of Conformity is issued in accordance with the Law and outlines the measures taken by JCC to ensure compliance.

2. RELEVANT EU LEGISLATION AND ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS
JCC, besides the Law, has taken into consideration the following:

  • the EU Directive 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.

3. IDENTIFICATION OF JCC’S PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
The following JCC services and products have been identified as falling within the scope of the Law:

  • Point of Sale (POS) terminals
  • ATMs
  • Digital Trust Services
  • E-commerce payment channel (gateway)
  • JCCsmart
  • Merchant Portal
  • Website
  • Customer Support Services

4. ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES
JCC aims to place on the market products and provide services that incorporate accessibility features.

Accessibility features associated with JCC’s products and services include, where applicable:

    Physical Devices (POS terminals, ATMs)

    • Accessible physical surroundings, to the extent that such surroundings are under JCC’s control
    • Tactile keypads and tactile features to support user navigation and interaction
    • Visual interfaces with colour contrast

    Digital Platforms (Website, JCCsmart, Merchant Portal, Payment Gateway, Digital Trust Services)

    • Use of accessibility plugins supporting usability and accessibility by individuals regardless of ability. This includes accessibility pin keyboard navigation, readable colors and fonts
    • Website access which ensures that individuals regardless of abilities can navigate and use it with ease

    Customer Communication and Documentation

    • Customer-facing content and documentation in simple and intelligible language
    • Availability of communication through multiple communication channels (including email, telephone, accessible facilities)

    Staff Awareness

    • Relevant staff awareness and guidance to support clear customer communication
    • Customer-facing services delivered taking into account accessibility considerations

5. TECHNICAL PREREQUISITES
The consumer’s devices (computer/mobile phone) need to have the following capabilities or tools for accessibility features to be workable:

  • Screen reader software
  • Keyboard access for navigation without a mouse
  • PDF reader applications for viewing documents
  • Access to email or SMS for communication and authentication

6. METHOD OF CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT
JCC’s compliance with the Law has been assessed through internal evaluation, including:

  • Gap analysis against applicable requirements
  • Internal review processes
  • Accessibility testing

7. ONGOING IMPROVEMENTS
JCC continues to review and improve the accessibility of its services and products. In particular, JCC will continue its efforts to evaluate and place in the market products (including POS terminals and ATMs) that incorporate increased accessibility features.

JCC, with this Declaration of Conformity, declares that it is in compliance with the accessibility requirements of the Law. JCC is committed to ongoing compliance with accessibility requirements and takes into account relevant legal developments and technological changes in relation to the accessibility of its products and services.
